The Wimbledon draw will take place on Friday morning with Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka among others set to find out their draw for the tournament which will take place between Monday 30 June - Sunday 13 July.
It will take place on Friday morning at 10:00am BST (11:00am CET). Players are randomly selected and assigned a placement in the draw by a computer automated system. This a far cry from previous years when fans had to listen in on the radio to find out the draws from their favourite players.
Albeit the top 32 seeds are done last. They are removed from the draw and added back in later. They will go into different sections but e.g Jannik Sinner will sit at the top of the draw so in reality will know already what his draw is when the first two players are set in his section.
Others it is more of a randomisation. It will be available to watch live on the official Wimbledon website and can also be livestreamed through the BBC iPlayer app in the UK also.
Carlos Alcaraz is the defending men's champion having seen off Novak Djokovic in last year's showpiece final. While Barbora Krejcikova saw off Jasmine Paolini in 2024. It is often that the WTA tournament given Marketa Vondrousova also won it the year previous is a more open field.
The men's field is also flanked by Jannik Sinner as well as Brit hope Jack Draper. In the women's, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff among others will hope to strike while the iron is hot. They will also find out their draw fate on Friday morning. It will also be confirmed here on TennisUpToDate on its conclusion with all the leading talking points surrounding the tournament set to ramp up in the coming days.
